Dr. Rodrigo Viecilli’s undergraduate training was in Aerospace Engineering (Rocket Science!) and after Dental school, he completed his orthodontic training along with a Ph.D. in Oral Biology (Biomechanics) at Indiana University. He is one of two orthodontists from Indiana to win the prestigious Milo Hellman Award, the highest research honor in Orthodontics in North America, and the only one to ever complete all American Board of Orthodontics patient case requirements in two years, still during Residency. He was approved as a prospective member for the Angle Society of Orthodontists, Midwest Component and has been board certified since 2011. Dr. Viecilli was a Professor at NYU and LLU, where he currently holds a part time appointment.. He is the inventor of the Smartarch, the most sophisticated orthodontic wire ever designed, currently being sold by the largest orthodontic company in the world. Dr. Viecilli lectures regularly to the American Association of Orthodontists and others all around the globe.
He loves the challenge of treating patients of all ages, has extensive experience with Invisalign, surgically assisted accelerated Orthodontics and Lingual Orthodontics. He strives to work with his patients to provide the best esthetic outcome with the most efficient and scientific treatment possible.
Dr. Viecilli enjoys cooking, music, weightlifting, traveling and reading philosophy, and was a ranked chess player for many years in Brazil, winning several local championships.
